3 day / 2 night Sydney Beaches and Harbour Pool Swim Tour
Tour Start: 11.00am at QT Bondi on Day One (please arrive approx. 45 mins prior)
Tour Finish: 2.00pm at QT Bondi on Day Three
Visit Australia’s largest city and explore the wonders of its waters! The tour is based in the heart of Bondi, just across the road from the world-renowned Bondi Beach. Swim in Sydney Ocean Pools; Sydney Harbour Pools; and in an Ocean Swim Event at famous Bondi Beach.
This itinerary offers a variety of swimming possibilities at a relaxed pace. This is also a perfect introduction to Swim Tours Australia, as well as being a great option for a beginner swimmer or a non-swimmer companion.
Day One of the tour, we will embark on the coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi (approx 6 kms), with stops along the way to swim in the renowned Ocean Pools. We will have the opportunity to swim in 4 pools today.
Sydney Harbour becomes the focus on Day Two. We will travel by our private bus to Murray Rose Pool at Double Bay for the first of the Harbour swims. We will then transfer to another Harbour Pool for our next swim. We will return to Bondi for an afternoon of leisure.
Then on Day Three, an Ocean Swim Event at Bondi Beach. Enter the Bondi to Bronte Swim (December) or the Bondi Blue Water Challenge (March). This is a great opportunity to compete in an organised Ocean Swim Event with plenty of support from your Swim Tours Australia team.

Each swim is planned to last between 60 – 75 minutes. During the swims we will stop regularly to regroup and provide direction. Each swim will cover somewhere between 2.2 – 3.5 km. Each swim is designed with an early exit option.
We work around two swims per day, apart from the first and final days of the trip, when only one swim is usually scheduled.
No, not at all. This is your holiday, swim as much or as little as you wish. We will encourage you to join us on each swim.
Most of our accommodation is based on two people sharing and for most parts we have Double or Twin Share rooms available.
In between swims you will find time to read a book, play cards or socialise with others on the trip.
You can choose to wear flippers for some or all of the swims. We are not here to race but rather enjoy the beautiful environment.
The wetsuit option is worth considering; not only do they keep you warmer, but they also provide you with a bit more flotation, protection from the sun and any marine stingers that we might encounter.
We work on a water safety ratio of 1:6 and complete a thorough risk assessment prior to each swim. Our staff are fully qualified as swim coaches and lifeguards, but are also accomplished open water swimmers.
Some of the pools that we swim on this tour feature a 'living bottom' with fish, corals, and crabs. The lucky ones will experience the joys of the swimming with the Blue Gropers that call Clovelly Beach home. The harbour pools on day two are within swimming enclosures but the keen-eyed swimmers will often spot fish, rays and if the conditions are right, the occasional seahorse.

What an eye-opener! Ocean and harbour pools are a very different experience for most Queenslanders, and Swim Tours Australia made it all so easy. The coastal walk connecting the ocean pools is spectacular, with the final swim on Day 1 at Bondi Icebergs. The next day’s harbour pool swims are a chance to swim – safely – in clean, quiet corners of Sydney Harbour, followed on Day 3 with the buzz of a big swim at Bondi. It actually seems like more than three days, with a great balance of fully supervised swims, free time, and group dinners. Ally creates a safe, supportive and fun environment: this trip is an experience not to be missed and I loved it!

We enjoyed this tour in March of 2024, it invloved the famous cliff top coastal walk, from Coogee to Bondi for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. Something different around each corner. The walk was broken into stops as we swam in the rock pools. The tour was well thought out, accommadation was a great location in Bondi. Would highly recommend it.

I’ve just returned from the Sydney Swim Tour which ended with the famous Ocean World Series swim, Bondi to Bronte 2km ocean swim!! Wow what an action packed 3 days. The tour was so much fun!!! Even though we had inclement weather (it rained heavily most of the time away) and the water’s average temp was 18 degrees, we laughed hard and smiled all weekend. We had a range of abilities on our tour, ranging from one of Australia’s most decorated (and lovely) Olympians to those that were going to be doing their first ocean swim. Everyone supported each other, especially through the cold water, but in fact I liked the added challenge of the colder water and FOMO was strong, so no one was going to miss out on a swim. I loved the Coggee to Bondi walk and stopping at all the different pools, we saw sea life, met locals and were able to meet new people and make new connections between each swim. The dinners that were organised were delicious and I loved the morning breakfasts right on Bondi Beach. Ally is a fantastic director of Swim Tours Australia. She is approachable, eager to please and such a warm person. Ally swam the 2km Bondi to Bronte swim right next to me, as I have a fear of open water. Her knowledge and breath of expertise in open water and surf conditions is unparalleled. She is actually a body surfing champion and also competed at the World Championships in Hawaii too….so to have her knowledge of the surf, especially coming in at Bronte in very big swell and waves was of such comfort to me. She didn’t take my fears lightly. She was sympathetic and she got me to the other side with not a bad time too! Well done Ally to you and all of your Swim Tour employees. I had an absolute blast. I loved meeting more members in my swim community, the itinerary was great and these are memories I will keep with me forever. I really felt like my swimming went up another level and I am grateful for your knowledge and care. I would highly recommend this trip for any keen swimmers.

If you want a get away that involves adventure, connection to nature and connection to people, Ally’s tours are where it’s at. I loved the Sydney ocean pools tour. Ally’s experience and knowledge of the area made it a seamless weekend to enjoy. It was so refreshing to do something out of the ordinary. Five stars!

I cannot tell you what an endorphin filled high I am still on from our STA Swimming Tour.
A fun filled time with great people, food and accommodation. Ally and her team made sure we were well looked after both in and out of the pools/ocean. Topped off with the Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim. I had never done one and it was an absolutely incredible experience. All in all a perfect long weekend exercising with lots of fun on the side.

Just had a terrific 3 day swim tour to Sydney. It was brilliant!!! Swam in pools that I never knew existed even though I had been to Sydney heaps of times. The whole trip was seamless and so well organised. Safely was number one but that didn’t stop our group having a great time. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

This Swim Tour was one of life’s events that leaves you sad, when it is over.
From the beginning, our group of swimmers were excited and committed to swimming their best.
They owned why they were there, in Bondi.
At the same time, we did not stop laughing all weekend.
The comrade that builds within your group is special. Everyone is genuinely invested in your swim, as well as their own. It was a team event, led by Alison Zillman (Owner- Swim Tours Australia) and former Olympian Susie O’Neill. We felt safe in undertaking this surf swim, with them at the helm.
The geography around this tour is special, and sits on our doorstep. The rock pools are wonderfully positioned to walk between in 1/2 day. The group loved swimming in each pool – its bucket list stuff.
On the official day of the swim the group came together, as we cheered each member from take off at Bondi Beach. It’s a swim you can do again and again.
